Ford J-Brace Load Box Reinforcement Brackets for Next Gen Ford Ranger

IMPORTANT INFORMATION WHEN FITTING A HARDTOP / CANOPY TO NEW FORD RANGER 2023+ PICK-UP.
ALL NEW RANGERS REQUIRE A 'J-BRACE' BRACKET KIT TO BE SUPPLIED AND FITTED BY FORD PRIOR TO FITTING A CANOPY. SEE FURTHER DETAILS BELOW:

To comply with Ford Motor Company requirements and Ford warranty conditions it is recommended to install a genuine J-Brace bracket kit to the truck bed prior to a fitting a canopy / hardtop. The J-Brace is for strengthening purposes, and designed to provide extra support for additional weight when mounting a canopy to the truck load box.

It is a requirement from Ford that any 2023+ Next-Gen Ford Ranger fitted with hardtop/canopy (accessories extending above the load box) must have truck bed reinforcement brackets installed. The J-Brace kits are available to order from Ford and need to be installed, prior to fitting a hardtop, for the warranty on the vehicle to be valid. A Ford dealer can supply the genuine brackets developed by Ford and there are two different kits for Ford Ranger or Ford Ranger Raptor models.

RSI SMARTCAP HARDTOPS FOR NEW FORD RANGER - Per Ford Motor Company requirements, Load Box Reinforcement Brackets must be purchased separately and fitted “when heavy or load-bearing accessories are added to the top of the load box”. In order to comply with Ford’s directive, SmartCap requires that a separate Load Box Reinforcement Bracket Kit (SmartCap Part #: RJ-P703 Set) be purchased with each Ranger SmartCap.
